HOUSTON – Two Houston police officers have been suspended after being accused of clocking hours of pay that they didn't work.
The two Sergeants, Sgt. K. Dubose and Sgt. C. Fisk, were accused of signing in for their shifts, but then driving their patrol cars to their homes, staying there for the hours they were supposed to be on the street, then returning before their shifts were up.
Dubose and Fisk, who both work the night shift at HPD's southwest substation on Beechnut were relieved of duty with pay May 15th, pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.
Celia Paz, who works in the area the two officers are assigned to patrol, expressed her concern.
"That's not good," said Paz. "They're supposed to be doing their job."
Dubose has been with HPD since 1995 and Fisk is an 18-year veteran.
If internal affairs finds the allegations to be true, both officers could be demoted or fired.
