HOUSTON -- Two people were found shot in the parking lot of a southwest Houston mall on Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said two shooting victims were found in a back parking lot at Sharpstown Mall on Bellaire Boulevard near the Southwest Freeway at about 2:15 p.m.
Police said the men were involved in a possibly drug-related shooting at a nearby apartment complex.
"We don't know the extent of the number of people involved, but at least two individuals were shot," Capt. Bruce Williams said. "They were able to make it to this parking lot at the mall."
The men made it to the mall under their own power, detectives said.
"The shooting didn't occur here at the mall," Williams said.
Investigators said one person was shot in the head and the other was shot in the chest. Both victims were rushed to Ben Taub Hospital. Their conditions were not released.
Detectives said have not released any information about the shooter or shooters.
