POSTED: Tuesday, September 30, 2008
HOUSTON -- The FBI needs help identifying and finding a bank robber who held a gun directly to two bank employees' heads in two separate robberies, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.
Investigators said the man robbed the Comerica Bank in the 1500 block of Eldridge Parkway at about 10:25 a.m. on Sept. 10.
The man took a female teller hostage and placed a gun to her head, officials said. He threatened to shoot her if the other tellers did not comply with his demand, investigators said.
He got away on foot once the other tellers gave him cash, officials said.
Detectives said the same man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in the 3700 block of Westheimer Road at about 2 p.m. on Sept. 23.
The man grabbed a male employee and held a semi-automatic pistol to his head while demanding that the tellers put cash into a black bag, investigators said.
The tellers complied with the man's demands and he got away on foot, detectives said.
The man was described as Hispanic, 29 to 35 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, 210 to 240 pounds with a large build and shaved head. He wore a yellow- or cream-colored short-sleeved, button-down shirt, dark pants and sunglasses during each robbery. Some witnesses said he may have a scar on his left wrist.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 713-693-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
