West Loop Ramp Near Galleria To Close Until December

Closure Affects Northbound Entrance Ramp From Post Oak Boulevard

HOUSTON -- Commuters who use a highly traveled ramp near the Galleria to access the northbound lanes of the 610 West Loop will have to find another way to get on the highway for the next eight months.

Beginning Thursday at 9 p.m., the 610 West Loop northbound entrance ramp from Post Oak Boulevard will be shut down.

The ramp will not reopen until December so construction crews can switch traffic on the West Loop northbound frontage road between Post Oak Boulevard and Woodway Drive onto new pavement.

Only one lane of the frontage road between Post Oak and Buffalo Bayou will be open during the eight-month closure.
