HOUSTON -- A METRORail train struck a reportedly drunken man walking in downtown Houston Wednesday night, police told Local 2.
Investigators said the man walked out in front of the train at about 7:30 p.m. as it left the Main Street Square Station.
Witnesses told officials the man might have been drunk before the accident happened.
"The guy, who was apparently really intoxicated, didn't see the train coming and it struck him," witness Chris Schtuk told Local 2.
The man was transported to a hospital with what officials described as non-life-threatening injuries.
This accident raised the number of accidents since the light-rail system began running to 67.
